Lemongrass will be awarding a prize of €2000 to both the festival’s leading trainer and leading jockey. Lemongrass Fusion are the festival’s number one place for both Pre-Race and Post-Race dining. With special menus created for this great event customers can really enjoy some of the best racing Ireland has to offer and also enjoy Asian cuisine at its best. The Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival is the highlight of the Irish sporting and social calendar. The special combination of thrilling sporting action, brilliant live entertainment, family fun, dazzling glamour or casual comfort and the great Punchestown Festival atmosphere for which the event is renowned.

Race Start Time - the following times are provisional and based on 2018.

Tuesday 30th, April and Wednesday 1st, Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of May, the first race goes to post at 3.40pm. Gates open from 12pm. The last race will be around 7.15pm.


Live Entertainment

The entertainment package at the Festival is second to none and ensures that the famous Punchestown atmosphere greets you from the moment you enter the racecourse. The main stage is the key focus of the entertainment programme with excellent live music, children's entertainment, fashion shows, best dressed finals and expert betting panels. Enjoy live street theatre with jugglers, stilt walkers and mime artists. The après racing music throughout the pavilions, bars and public areas is always a crowd pleaser.

Glamour is an essential element of the Punchestown Irish National Hunt Festival and while the racing superstars go head to head on the track, Ireland’s most stylish ladies will be going peep toe to kitten heel when competing for the most prestigious title in the racing and social calendars.

Public Bars

Punchestown is renowned for its lively bar scene where racegoers can enjoy a pint of the black stuff, a sip of bubbly or something in between at one of the many bars throughout the enclosures where the brilliant atmosphere is always on tap.

Festival Shopping Village

Indulge in some retail therapy at the extensive Festival Shopping Village with over 50 exhibitors displaying everything from fine art to bespoke hats, handcrafted jewellery to garden accessories.

Dress Codes

There is no dress code at Punchestown. So dress up or dress down, it's up to you.

Flat Season at Naas Racecourse


Lemongrass Fusion and Naas Racecourse are delighted to announce that Lemongrass Fusion will sponsor the first running of the Leading Trainer, Jockey and Yard Championship for the flat season at Naas.

The opening meeting of the Irish Flat Season will take place this Sunday 26th March and the championship will take place over the eleven flat racing fixtures from this Sunday to Sunday 5th November. At the end of the season all three overall winners will be presented with a winning trophy and €1,000 each.

Naas Racecourse, along with race sponsors, will be providing a minimum €50 best turned out prize for each race throughout the flat season and the Yard Championship will be determined by the total number of best turned out prizes associated with one yard. The winning Trainer and Jockey Championship will be determined by the total number of wins and places.

Tom Ryan, Manager of Naas Racecourse said: “It is our first time to both open and close the Irish Flat Season and the leading championship is a nice way to tie it all together. Not only will we host the Horse Racing Ireland Flat Season Awards at the end of the season but we will have the Naas specific awards on the day also, it will make it that little bit more special.”
